Easy to grow species that can be planted with minimal ground prep - broadcast and start growing
Want to start food plotting but don’t have heavy equipment to work the soil?
Or maybe you have a backwoods plot only accessible by foot. If only you could plant something without needing heavy equipment to work the soil...
Good news friend, this is the mix for you!
A specially selected blend of cereal grains, brassicas, clover, and chicory that can thrive in small shady plots with minimal ground prep. Just remove any leaves or ground cover to expose the soil and broadcast, preferably before a rain. Let our seed do the rest.

There’s nothing stopping you now, get this seed planted and start picking out a tree to hang your stand!
Ingredients:
2 Clovers
Cereal grains
Radish
Chicory
How we formulated this mix:
All the ingredients in this mix share 2 things: Shade tolerance and the ability to succeed with a shallow planting depth which gives them a high rate of success with no-till plantings. Clovers selected for this mix are extremely vigorous growers in less-than-ideal planting situations.
WHERE TO PLANT:Areas with full sun to partial shade. Ideal for small plots hard to access with equipment
pH:5.5-7.0
MINIMUM SOIL FERTILITY NEEDED:Moderate - Low
WHEN TO PLANT:
NORTH: March-June or Aug-Sep
CENTRAL: Mar-May or Aug-Oct
SOUTH: Sep-Early Nov
SOIL PREP: Great option for no-till planting. Expose/scarify the dirt as much as possible and remove debris. Broadcast into bare dirt. Culti-pack or run over if possible. It can also be planted by normal means (disc/plow/harrow/etc.)
PLANTING DEPTH: 1/4in or less
FERTILIZER: For best results use the Whitetail Hill Soil Test and apply fertilizer as recommended by the test - Order at WhitetailHill.com

I bought 2 of the "No plow No problem" I really didn't expect much. All I can say is WOW!
The 1st area that I planted has very poor soil, I did supplement with some triple 13 but that really hasn't helped in the past with other products. It rained the evening of the day that the seed was sown, 2 days later the clover was sprouting!
I planted a 2nd area with the same results. I'll be purchasing more for more areas i plan on hunting.
Thanks
I am very impressed with how the food plot is looking. After three weeks it started to come up and it’s already 3 inches tall in some areas. Definitely a good purchase!
Raked the ground and threw it down! This was the plot a couple weeks ago. First time user but it seems to be getting the job done. Excited to see what it’ll look like in December. Will be purchasing trees in the future once the property get developed.
This seed worked extremely well for the minimum preparation the ground had. This little plot is way back in so I prepped by hand. Im very happy with the results.
Wasn’t going to do anything with the plot this year. Then I figured why not when I saw your no till product. Had to cut out a bunch of dried out weed stems first, raked them out of the plot and put down 2 jars of the no till knowing rain was due the next day. I have about a 1/3rd of an acre with sandy soil and it gets sun most of the day. I Started seeing new growth throughout the plot after only a few days and even though we had a stretch of 80’s with no rain it didn’t harm the growth at all. Deer were hitting it almost right away. Recommend highly. Sorry not a closer up picture it’s from my cell camera
Seed that wasn’t eaten by Doves germinated and grew quick. Once it was 3” high, groundhogs devastated it and rabbits eat it during the night. The deer have just found it. Still trying to eradicate the groundhogs when they show up on my Tactacam but haven’t had any luck. Will do a bigger plot next year.
Very pleased with how it's growing, got the grass gone with lawnmower and string trimmer and throwed down the no till no problem seed. The first pic is 4 days after planting and second Pic is 12 days after. Already been seeing the deer checking it out and the turkeys. Will definitely buy again
It did not rain for almost two weeks after I planted so that did not help it grow. I had some grass that was just starting to come up after being tilled at the time of planting this seed so that could have also affected the growth. I know this is no til seed but I had to til because weeds were thick and up to four feet tall. With more rain in recent weeks, it is now growing pretty good. The plot is thick but about 60% is the grass that was starting to pop up when I planted. However, there is definitely something in this mix that the deer like because they are on the plot every evening, and sometimes all day long. I would probably use this again, making sure to plant sooner after tilling, plus I’d pray a little harder for rain.
We got rain the day after I planted and see germinated quickly. So far looking good. I just did a new food plot, little late in central Michigan. But will see how it does.
I finished planting the food plot and checked my cameras a couple hours later and there was already deer on it. It’s been two weeks now and it’s growing in nicely.
These seeds barely touched the soil before they sprouted rapidly - like Jack's beanstalk, theyre climbing higher and higher and are VERY lush. And apparently irresistible to the deer!!
This worked like magic. I really didn’t expect it to grow so fast ! I planted it. It rained later that day two days later I had sprouts. Great product definitely going to buy again.
