About Whitetail Hill

Whitetail Hill is a food plot seed, mineral, and attractant company in Cherokee, Alabama. We formulate our own seed blends, have every lot third-party tested for purity and germination before it ships, and pack and ship every order ourselves from Cherokee.

Why we started

We wanted to improve on what the food plot seed market offered. Too many big name brands were using fillers and cheap ingredients in their blends and skipping some of the best quality species hunters should be putting in their plots. We wanted to change that by crafting blends made from the absolute best, cutting edge food plot species on the market. We bring together expertise in wildlife, agriculture, and food plot strategy to create some of the most advanced seed blends on the market. We also provide the support that no one else does: a fully staffed customer service team of knowledgeable professionals ready to help you both before and after your purchase.

What we make

Food plot seed. A dozen-plus blends, each built for a specific job rather than a generic "deer mix." Kill Plot for small, shady plots that need to survive heavy grazing. No Till No Problem for ground you can't get equipment to. Whitetail Hill Clover and Multi-Year Mix for perennial plots that last three to five years. Early Draw and Late Draw for full-season annual plots in the South and North. Soggy Bottoms for wet ground, Dirt Doctor for poor soil, Hideaway for screening, and blends for turkeys, quail, doves, and waterfowl.

Minerals and attractants. Antler IV mineral and Mast Magnet attractant, both flavored with real chestnut and persimmon extracts, two of the most preferred natural deer foods.

Trees. Our sister business, Whitetail Hill Chestnuts, grows hybrid chestnut and other mast trees for hunters who want long-term food sources alongside their plots.

How we choose what goes in a bag

Every blend starts with a job (a shady kill plot, a wet corner, a plot that has to last five years) and we pick species that are strong where the others are weak, so the mix performs across a wider range of conditions than any single species can. We leave out fillers deer won't eat, like annual ryegrass, and we say what's in the bag. Every lot is tested by an independent seed lab for purity and germination before we ship it.
