A mix of turnips and moisture tolerant clover species, this blend can survive where others can’t
So many times we see people letting low spots or moist areas go un-planted because they think there’s nothing they can grow there. That’s just not the case.
This blend of moisture tolerant species can do well in areas too wet for other plantings.
Turnips and specially selected clover species hand picked to tolerate extra moisture can allow you to plant where other plots have failed.
Now it isn’t magic so don’t expect it to grow underwater but it can definitely open up moist areas for planting that many other species can’t tolerate. If you've got a wet plot pick up some Soggy Bottoms this year and give it a try, you might just open up some new ground that you never thought you'd be able to get a good plot on.

Recently bought wetlands in Wisconsin and thought it was worth a shot. Planted 3 weeks ago in the only spot thats not standing water, but its still basically like walking on a wet sponge. It's coming in great he deer havent left it alone since it started sprouting.
I was skeptical at first, but after seeing the seed germinate and growing in soaked soil I’m a true believer in soggy bottom. Wasn’t long after planting before the deer were hitting the new growth. Now that I know it works well in wet loamy soil I will plant in other spots that I neglected to plant.
Soggy bottom- I planted way too late but i figured it was worth a try. SE Michigan lowland with rivers and ponds, it’s really hard to grow anything but reeds here, it tends to hold water after a good rain. I ordered and it came in the mail within a week, i didn’t have the time or energy to till so i used a dethatcher on my quad to rough up the top some. The clover came up within a week of spreading it and thickened up to 2” tall within 2 weeks, the radish are not a well off but they’re growing. The deer come in every day without fail and I'm seeing more and more visitors every week but they’ve thinned it out alot because they dont stop eating lol i did alil more than the recommended area and spread it over a 1/2 acre with a hand spreader, next year ill reapply to the recommended directions. Thanks Joe Azzopardi soggy bottom proud!
Background. I live in NE Vermont and it is fairly cool. The ground is sopping wet with so standing puddles. I planted the Soggy Bottoms mix in the wet area and I also planted the your Turnips in drier areas. The Soggy Bottoms mix came up slowly and covers 65% of the area planted. The only other things I can get to grow there are Smartweed and Japanese Millet which I plant for waterfowl. The Turnips came up great and are about 4” high now. The attached photos are of the Turnips and the Soggy Bottoms mix.
This was an overgrown mess, never been planted before, I prepped it and noticed it was extremely wet. Did some digging and found this company and figured I’d give it a try. Absolutely blown away by the results
48 hour exposure of growth without rain, but had unprecedented heat and humidity for northern Wisconsin. I should have done a better job packing after planting. Was obvious where ATV tracks were compared to roller. Better seed to soil contact would have eliminated the stripes.
I planted the soggy bottom on July 5th, this plot is a first time trial and so far I couldn’t be happier with the results. With that being said this plot is 1-1/2 miles back in the middle of a cedar swamp and is very hard to access with any large equipment or any equipment at that. The area it’s planted in has a chance of sitting in water for a few days if we get larger amounts of rain but so far that hasn’t been an issue. Keep up the good work and great customer service 👍
Love this mix, had trouble with other brands growing in this spot. Bought a soil test kit did what it said, and had an amazing turnout. Would definitely recommend.
Came in fast and full. Hadn't seen turkeys for months now i have 15 come in every day with ton of deer. Will be using this next year. I planted in late September n it came in great. Next year I will plant the 3rd week in August and expect a bit more growth than this year!! Customer Service is Excellent.
The seed grew up beautifully and all within 2 week bucks, does, and turkey are eating from it several times daily. I will continue to use this product. Customer Service is Excellent.
Planted a small food plot in a wet bottom area that I couldn’t till. I good only weed-whack it real low and then seeded with Soggy Bottom. After brief rain I already have clover sprouting and already the deer are hitting it! Def going to plant this again next year if I get the same results!
Planted in my river bottom acerage. We have been in drought since then but the product came up and seems to be thriving! Deer are walking through the clover every morning
I have a plot that’s always wet. This year is dry but this ground is still moist. Seed came up quick and is growing great. I’m impressed. Only negative I can say is the turnips seem to be grouped in several areas not evenly spread out. Maybe I needed to mix it before planting
