A mix of turnips and moisture tolerant clover species, this blend can survive where others can’t

So many times we see people letting low spots or moist areas go un-planted because they think there’s nothing they can grow there. That’s just not the case.

This blend of moisture tolerant species can do well in areas too wet for other plantings.

Turnips and specially selected clover species hand picked to tolerate extra moisture can allow you to plant where other plots have failed.

Now it isn’t magic so don’t expect it to grow underwater but it can definitely open up moist areas for planting that many other species can’t tolerate. If you've got a wet plot pick up some Soggy Bottoms this year and give it a try, you might just open up some new ground that you never thought you'd be able to get a good plot on.

Ingredients:

Turnips

3 Clovers

How we formulated this mix:

The clovers selected are among the most moisture tolerant varieties available and turnips also excel in wet ground.

Turn wet ground into a plot

That soggy low spot? It's a food plot waiting to happen.

Too many hunters leave low, wet areas unplanted thinking nothing will grow there. Not true. Soggy Bottoms is a blend of turnips and hand-picked moisture-tolerant clovers built to thrive where other plots drown.

It's not magic — don't expect it to grow underwater — but a low spot that stays damp is right in its wheelhouse. Got a wet plot? Give it a shot and open up ground you never thought you could use.

Built to perform

Thrives where others drown

Handles wet feet
Turnips and specially selected clovers tolerate moisture that rots ordinary plantings.
Unlocks dead ground
Turns low, damp spots you've been skipping into productive food plots.
Real deer food
Turnips and clover give deer high-quality forage right through fall and winter.

Dead simple to plant

Three steps for wet ground

1
Prep the seedbed
Disc, till, or plow — or go no-till and just rake/lightly expose the soil. Then smooth and firm it down.
2
Sow the seed
Small seed — don't bury it. Spread it right on the firmed, smoothed soil; ¼" is perfect.
3
Press it in
Cultipack or drive over the plot to press the seed into the soil for good seed-to-soil contact. That's all it needs.

Customer photo review of Soggy Bottoms

Recently bought wetlands in Wisconsin and thought it was worth a shot. Planted 3 weeks ago in the only spot thats not standing water, but its still basically like walking on a wet sponge. It's coming in great he deer havent left it alone since it started sprouting.

Excellent service and germination rate. Even in a spring that’s been mostly drought here in SC I’m happy to see the plot start to grow

I was skeptical at first, but after seeing the seed germinate and growing in soaked soil I’m a true believer in soggy bottom. Wasn’t long after planting before the deer were hitting the new growth. Now that I know it works well in wet loamy soil I will plant in other spots that I neglected to plant.

48 hour exposure of growth without rain, but had unprecedented heat and humidity for northern Wisconsin. I should have done a better job packing after planting. Was obvious where ATV tracks were compared to roller. Better seed to soil contact would have eliminated the stripes.

Customer photo review of Soggy Bottoms

I planted the soggy bottom on July 5th, this plot is a first time trial and so far I couldn’t be happier with the results. With that being said this plot is 1-1/2 miles back in the middle of a cedar swamp and is very hard to access with any large equipment or any equipment at that. The area it’s planted in has a chance of sitting in water for a few days if we get larger amounts of rain but so far that hasn’t been an issue. Keep up the good work and great customer service 👍

Love this mix, had trouble with other brands growing in this spot. Bought a soil test kit did what it said, and had an amazing turnout. Would definitely recommend.

Soggy bottom looks best of five plots Two of kill plots look good and one not so good. No plow plot looks worse not sure why. May be due to location

Planted a small food plot in a wet bottom area that I couldn’t till. I good only weed-whack it real low and then seeded with Soggy Bottom. After brief rain I already have clover sprouting and already the deer are hitting it! Def going to plant this again next year if I get the same results!

Couldn't get anything to grow in past years in this food plot. This year Soggy bottoms is growing well

Soggy Bottoms

Planted in my river bottom acerage. We have been in drought since then but the product came up and seems to be thriving! Deer are walking through the clover every morning

Soggy Bottoms

Just seeded last weekend, so I’m not sure how it is doing.

Soggy Bottoms

I have a plot that’s always wet. This year is dry but this ground is still moist. Seed came up quick and is growing great. I’m impressed. Only negative I can say is the turnips seem to be grouped in several areas not evenly spread out. Maybe I needed to mix it before planting

Soggy Bottoms

Planted a few weeks ago, got some rain and the food plot is looking great.

Soggy Bottoms

Awesome product - planted along a creek bed and saw plants in 3 days - crazy! Even grows in the shade.

Soggy Bottoms

Haven’t try it yet

Soggy Bottoms

Awesome products!

Soggy Bottoms

Everything germinated in a normal time frame. We received a lot of rain, so what was dry, pre seeding, has now returned to small standing water spots like it normally is. There is good growth everywhere right up to the standing water spots.

Soggy Bottoms

My order arrived on time. The seed germinated in 10 days.

Soggy Bottoms

Arrived as it should. Planted it a few days ago and am greatly anticipating germination.

Growing very well as advertised. Great product.

Soggy Bottoms

We will see how it works.

Soggy Bottoms

Using the Plotmaster 500 to plant this has yielded good results. Very pleased with the growth and rate.

Soggy Bottoms

Works great!

Soggy Bottoms

I just got my soil tests in a month and a half or so after planting Soggy Bottoms. Soil tests reveal a 4.9ph and nitrogen and phosphorus deficiencies. You couldn’t tell it by looking at the plot. I have nearly knee high turnips and a thick understory of clover. It is out pacing the adjacent plots of other mixes 2:1. This stuff is the real deal.

Soggy Bottoms

Works great

Soggy Bottoms

Soggy Bottoms
