We’ve blended together the best varieties of millet and sorghum to create a killer mix for doves, quail, and other upland species. Resistant to deer browse and very drought tolerant this mix will work in many areas where plantings may have failed before.
Designed to be resistant to deer grazing and dry conditions, this mix isn’t your ordinary bird seed. It’s made for the outdoorsman and optimized to produce even in small fields, in poor soils, and dry conditions.
This mix is great for creating cover + food for quail or a great field for a dove shoot. So call your friends, clean your shotgun, and let that bird dog know he’ll have plenty of work to do this fall.

How we formulated this mix:
All varieties are drought tolerant and produce good stands in less than ideal conditions. Heavy grain production and preference by upland birds earns both types of millet and grain sorghum a spot here. Sunflowers were omitted from this mix as many dove fields have failed due to deer mowing down young sunflowers. The species in this mix don't hold a lot of attraction for deer at least until their grain heads mature and dry in fall. This ensures your field doesn't get destroyed by deer before it gets off the ground.

Prep the seedbed
Disc, till, or plow — or go no-till and just rake/lightly expose the soil. Then smooth and firm it down.

Sow the seed
Cover lightly — don't plant too deep. ¼–½" is right. Drag or cultipack to firm.

Press it in
Cultipack or drive over the plot to press the seed into the soil for good seed-to-soil contact. That's all it needs.

I am a simple backyard gardener. We have put out bird feeders to attract more birds to our yard. I planted some of the dove and quail plot seed underneath our feeders and it has really filled in nicely. We have seen several doves )more than typical) in our yard this summer. Our plan is to harvest later in the year and add to our quail feed we are raising for eggs. Great product. Thank you
Came up in just a few days and is growing amazingly fast already has deer using it . I have used several other products and never had this good of a reaction. Excited to see how the quail and dove use it .
First time using whitetail hill, the dove mix is coming up well and can’t wait to see how it turns out when it starts to get heads on it. Planted summer bulk as well and deer have devoured it as it came up. I’ve been searching for good seed for years due to being a firefighter having limited time with side jobs to get everything ready for a good season. I will definetly be purchasing seed from them for fall plots
It’s been a month and we’ve been getting some decent rains at good intervals. Everything was coming up nicely 2 weeks ago. I’m going down Friday to check the progress. So far I’m satisfied and will be ordering some more seed of some sort for my fall/ winter deer plots soon.
Great seeds, they grow really well. The deer in my area are attracted to it, which is a bummer since it’s for the quail and dove in the area. Will be fencing a huge area and buying more.
I planted a small plot at the same time as the summer bulk plots in very adverse soil about 8 days ago. I already have 2 inch sprouts coming up. It's growing a little slower than the Summer Bulk, but it's partially shaded in the afternoons. I definitely will be buying more of their products in the Fall.
