The clovers in this mix were chosen for longevity with many lasting 3-5 years without replanting. Chicory is consistently long-lived and helps round out this recipe designed to stick around a long time.
WHERE TO PLANT:Areas with full sun to partial shade. Best for fairly well drained areas. Excellent graze tolerance for small plots.

SOIL PREP: Disc, tiller, or plow, or can be used as a no-till planting just use landscape or hand rake or expose/lightly work soil. Culti-pack or drive over with an ATV before and after planting for best results.

Disc, till, or plow — or go no-till and just rake/lightly expose the soil. Then smooth and firm it down.

Small seed — don't bury it. Spread it right on the firmed, smoothed soil; ¼" is perfect.

Makes great plot and thick. But i wish there was guidance on what settings to use for a spreader because a container does not cover half an acre even on the lowest setting on a hand spreader. But otherwise the growth is great.
Grew great even with a ph of 5. I put lime down and manure and mixed in some buckwheat as a cover crop. Then when a mowed off the mature buckwheat it looks full and green
I frost seeded a few weeks ago here in Missouri. I am happy to report it was a success! The whole experience with Whitetail Hill has been great. I will be reordering and exploring other blends from them.
Seed came in good time. time will tell how well it germinates that said we've had a really dry spring how much if any rain will be the bigger Factor. I would consider buying again if I need to replant.
Great customer service and even better product. I frost seeded some multi year mix on January 16th in Northwest Arkansas, the clover and chicory are coming in and look very thick.
Real problem at our ranch! We’ve put out some of our seed purchases when rain forecast. We may get as much as an inch but within days the surface is dry. Next rain might be weeks later.
Really discouraging. Not blaming anyone but Mother Nature. Frustrated!
