This perennial mix of 5 of the best clovers out there for food plots gives you a highly palatable protein dense clover plot that is drought tolerant, wet soil tolerant, extremely cold hardy (-15° F), can stand up to high graze pressure, and will stick around for up to 5 yrs if maintained with mowing and weed control when needed.

Contains carefully selected varieties of balansa, white, and crimson clovers for a robust mix that’s nearly bulletproof.

Use it as a graze tolerant microplot or a highly nutritious destination food source. Either way this clover blend will be pumping out food for your deer and turkeys all year long even in the dead of winter.

Ingredients:

5 types of clover

How we formulated this mix:

The 5 clovers in this mix were carefully selected to complement each other. If one had a weak point or a condition it didn’t perform well in we incorporated other clovers that are strong in that area to ensure that this mix will perform in the widest range of conditions possible. The result is a composite of clovers that are extremely drought tolerant, stand up to heavy grazing, can withstand high moisture areas and light flooding, and are incredibly winter hardy even tolerating temps as low of -15 deg F. Predominantly perennial clovers with a small annual clover component to help the stand establish and provide fast full growth the first year.

WHERE TO PLANT: Areas with full sun to fairly shady areas. Logging roads, trails, small plots, or large destination food sources.

pH: 6.0-7.0

MINIMUM SOIL FERTILITY NEEDED: Moderate

WHEN TO PLANT:

 NORTH: March-June or Aug-Sep

CENTRAL: Mar-May or Aug-Oct

SOUTH: Sep-Early Nov

Can be frost seeded in winter 3-5 weeks before the last frost.

SOIL PREP: Disc, tiller, or plow, or can be used as a no-till planting just use landscape or hand rake or expose/lightly work soil. Culti-pack or drive over with an ATV before and after planting for best results. Can be used to overseed into existing plots.

PLANTING DEPTH: 1/8in or less

FERTILIZER: For best results use the Whitetail Hill Soil Test and apply fertilizer as recommended by the test - Order at WhitetailHill.com

A nearly bulletproof clover plot

Five elite clovers. One plot that does it all.

This perennial blend of five hand-picked clovers gives you a highly palatable, protein-dense plot that's drought tolerant, handles wet soil, shrugs off cold down to -15°F, and stands up to heavy grazing — sticking around up to 5 years with a little mowing.

Use it as a graze-tolerant microplot or a destination food source. Either way it pumps out food for deer and turkeys all year, even in the dead of winter.

Built to perform

Bulletproof in any condition

Cold-hardy to -15°F
Keeps producing through brutal winters that flatten ordinary clover plots.
Drought and wet tolerant
Five complementary clovers cover each other's weak spots — dry ground, wet ground, heavy grazing.
Lasts up to 5 years
Predominantly perennial, with an annual component for fast first-year growth. Plant once, hunt for years.

Dead simple to plant

Three steps to a clover plot

1
Prep the seedbed
Disc, till, or plow — or go no-till and just rake/lightly expose the soil. Then smooth and firm it down.
2
Sow the seed
Tiny seed — barely cover it. Broadcast onto firmed, smoothed soil; ⅛" or less is plenty. Don't bury it.
3
Press it in
Cultipack or drive over the plot to press the seed into the soil for good seed-to-soil contact. That's all it needs.

Independently tested — no mystery seed

Every batch is third-party tested for purity and germination before it’s ever shipped out. We process, package, and ship every order right here in Cherokee, Alabama, so you know exactly what you’re putting in the ground — no filler, no guesswork. Questions? Planted this last fall in central Alabama. Came in great and had a ton of traffic. Pic is from this month after it sprang back - and I haven’t done anything to this plot since it was planted!

Whitetail hill clover planted here in central NC in early March. Its been tough because we r having a severe drought with an inch rain since it's planting. And planting clover in spring is not as good as fall. But I cant say enough good because it's there trying to survive..thus week has been in high 80s and 90s Drought tolerant yes it is! Thank u for an awesome product ! Praying for rain !

5 weeks in and super happy with the progress so far. Only one day of rain within the five weeks super dry. Clover seems to be doing very well. South Georgia.

Am amazed how easy it was to get on the ground without having plow the ground. I have a small space on backside of my property that I am hunting from and can't get equipment back there. Took a claw rack and some cloppers and cleared a spot. Racked it good and threw the seed down. Been 2-3 weeks and am seeing sprouts already! Eager to see how well it keeps growing.

Planted a few plots in this shaded area and took a couple weeks and some good rain but seeing the clover plot grow more and more and starting to see some guys like this venture in. Absolutely recommend this product

Whitetail Hill Clover

Planted it about 2 months ago and have had deer on camera every day. Living in eastern North Carolina, the weather has been uncertain. We have had very little rain but temperatures have been high 90’s for 2 weeks.

Whitetail Hill Clover

Your clover is easy to plant and comes up thick and the deer love it. I don't have any equipment so I mostly frost seed it and it works great.

Whitetail Hill Clover

Tough growing anything in this red clay. The clover is surviving better than anything else I’ve tried.

Whitetail Hill Clover

Planted a little late this year in a plot with not a lot of light since it's in the middle of our woods and I was overly surprised when it came up and kept getting larger. We mowed high to knock the weeds down and the clover took over, great product, will be ordering again

Whitetail Hill Clover

Not crazy about it. Will not adequately cover intended area

Whitetail Hill Clover

Its working out good. The Wall has come up surprisingly well i had to spray repellent on it the deer were eating it so fast! Its all up good but I didn't kill off the grass good enough. I got Slay and Arrest coming to spray. Im looking forward to watching the deer and turkeys this fall.

Whitetail Hill Clover

The clover came up very quick will be buying more products from yall.

Whitetail Hill Clover

My Plot is at my camp in Pa. about 3.5 hrs. from my home so I don't have the ability to plant at the most Ideal time of year. I did get the plot planted (June 12) but the worst part is when I did plant it we had a two week period of no rain. We're finally getting adequate rain and it's growing now but I am always wondering how it would look by now if we had rain sooner and I got to plant earlier. So in a nutshell, so far so good under the conditions.

Whitetail Hill Clover

Surprised it’s growing as I have real shitty soil.

Whitetail Hill Clover

I bought the clover to go along with the Bucks and Beard seed to help hold the soils and give it some extra density. The clover has helped protect the other seeds from being grazed before maturing

Whitetail Hill Clover

planted the product in a remote off the grid area, haven't been up there as of yet to see how there doing
