A mix of turnips and moisture tolerant clover species, this blend can survive where others can’t

So many times we see people letting low spots or moist areas go un-planted because they think there’s nothing they can grow there. That’s just not the case.

This blend of moisture tolerant species can do well in areas too wet for other plantings.

Turnips and specially selected clover species hand picked to tolerate extra moisture can allow you to plant where other plots have failed.

Now it isn’t magic so don’t expect it to grow underwater but it can definitely open up moist areas for planting that many other species can’t tolerate. If you've got a wet plot pick up some Soggy Bottoms this year and give it a try, you might just open up some new ground that you never thought you'd be able to get a good plot on.

How we formulated this mix:

Turn wet ground into a plot

That soggy low spot? It's a food plot waiting to happen.

Too many hunters leave low, wet areas unplanted thinking nothing will grow there. Not true. Soggy Bottoms is a blend of turnips and hand-picked moisture-tolerant clovers built to thrive where other plots drown.

It's not magic — don't expect it to grow underwater — but a low spot that stays damp is right in its wheelhouse. Got a wet plot? Give it a shot and open up ground you never thought you could use.

Built to perform

Thrives where others drown

Handles wet feet
Turnips and specially selected clovers tolerate moisture that rots ordinary plantings.
Unlocks dead ground
Turns low, damp spots you've been skipping into productive food plots.
Real deer food
Turnips and clover give deer high-quality forage right through fall and winter.

Dead simple to plant

Three steps for wet ground

1
Prep the seedbed
Disc, till, or plow — or go no-till and just rake/lightly expose the soil. Then smooth and firm it down.
2
Sow the seed
Small seed — don't bury it. Spread it right on the firmed, smoothed soil; ¼" is perfect.
3
Press it in
Cultipack or drive over the plot to press the seed into the soil for good seed-to-soil contact. That's all it needs.
